Hi,

I have a database with NLS_CHARACTERSET ZHS16GBK and NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTERSET UTF8 and I have also installed multilingual support in the operating system. I have dump, which contains chinese characters, which are not getting displayed properly when I import the dump to this database.

I notice you are working with 'nls_character', have you tried working with 'nls_lang' and 'nls_language'?

I have tried changing NLS_LANG as well, but it didn't help me. Can you tell me the proper setting, that I have to put in NLS_LANG.

Google for 'nls_lang chinese' and you will find http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B12037_01/server.101/b12170/ch12.htm plus quite a few more.
