Hi all,
please help. I know there is, somewhere at the oracle.com site, a document describing the parameters in formsweb.cfg and their meaning.

Any pointers would be helpful.

Hi,
I found however no information on what "buffer" means, or other parameters in otherparams.

Does anyone know where I can find that information?

Best Regards,
Lars

The word 'buffer' exists in many places. Please give the file name and post the section in which you are interested between 'code' tags.

Okay, now "post the section in which you are interested between 'code' tags".

I thought your question was not going to find anything interesting or useful, as in 'buffer' is used to feed the 'buffer_records' parameter and 'array' feed the 'array parameter. But I googled 'formsweb.cfg burr array' and found http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_19/web.1012/b14032/configure003.htm#sthref158 which says
Quote:
buffer - optional - Supports running and debugging a form from the Builder. Sub argument for otherparams

Default value is No.
and
Quote:
array - optional - Supports running and debugging a form from the Builder.

Default value is No.

It is interesting that there are another ten (10) or so parameters that are also associated with "running and debugging a form from the Builder" mentioned in the text immediately following these two definitions. The 'allow_debug' parameter seems to be the key to them all.

Hi,
OK. Thanks.

It it interesting that some of the parameters are not fully explained but still in the default formsweb.cfg Oracle send out.

Good that you enclosed the search string to google, you learn every time you see one of those. The trick is to find the right one to reveal information needed. I did not succed and my searches were to broad.

Hi,
I just recall that we had to set the record parameter one time when there were tests with the tool LoadRunner to be made. The tool needed that setting for some, to me unkown, reason.
