Form 6i / report 6i with oracle db verson 7.1.2 [message #250467]

Hi to all,

Is it possible to connect form 6i and report 6i with a database of the following version below:

Oracle7 Server Release 7.1.6.2.0 - Production Release
With the distributed, replication and parallel query options
PL/SQL Release 2.1.6.2.0 - Production

And also where on the web i can get the form 6i and report 6i for free download??

I don't think anything is certfied with 7.X as it has been desupported

Oracle Database 7.1 was not that great. 7.3.2 and 7.3.4 are okay but not supported for MANY years.

Forms and Reports 6 and 6i will access a 7.3 database okay.

Finding a copy of Forms 6 or 6i is going to be difficult.

Why can't you use Oracle Database 10g (which in its 4 gigabyte single CPU version is free) and Forms 10g?

Just an additon to David's post: I believe he meant "Oracle Database 10g Express Edition (XE)" version.
