Sorry if my query isnt clear...
what i want to do is create a tabbed canvas and then have some stacked canvas over them to show and hide. so i read in one of the posts that you need to create tabbed canvas using the content canvas ... was wondering how ???

Yes, that post was a bit confusing. I had a master and multiple detail blocks. I had the content canvas at the top of the window and then the tab canvas below it. As I said in the other post, make sure that you have moved the focus OFF the stacked canvas before trying to hide it.
