In my form I have a button BTN1. In the When-Button-Pressed trigger, I write complex code---which involves many DML operations, many functions are also invoked. These functions also may contain DML statements. How do i know how many tables are affected in the backend due to this one button press? Is their any way out the DBA can find this?

You could write a message to a flat file each time your start and successfuly finish something, and then close, re-open and read this 'log' file'.
