how to acess forms and reports and help in loading forms and reports on pc (merged) [message #155309]

i already install oracle 9i database on my pc like disk_1, disk_2, disk_3, but i don;t have the oracle forms and reports in it. can you tell me how i can download it and for learning it what are the part no for the documentation to download from oracle.

Hi Rajeev,
For running the forms and report you have to install Oracle developer TOOL.
For this tool can try this site to download this tool

http://oraclestore.oracle.com/

Or,
you can take it from Software shops also. It's a single CD which download Form Builder ,Report Builder, graphic builder and documentation too.

hello karan
thanks for your answer, right now i just download the 6i_designer from oracle site from the midware. i am little weak in pl/sql and i don't have any documentation for the pl/sql and any other tools like forms and reports, is there any way i can some good tutorial from some sites. i am self learner,i saw there is a hot market of oracle apps that is why i wanna learn it. if you have some site tell me.

Please read the sticky at the beginning of this forum. Go to the Oracle web sites and download the various reference manuals and demonstrations.

thanks a million for you all answers,
sir yesterday i was installing the 6i_designer_r411 on my pc at home.when i was installing it took the directory c/oracle/orahome92 but it was asking the company name ,if i put any name then it was not accepting that name .and sir i already install the oracle9i from oracle site. what i have to do to install this 6i_designer on my pc.so that i can put my hand on oracle forms and reports.

hello sie i install database oracle 9i from oracle site and now i wanna install all other tools like forms reports.i download 6i_designer_r411 from oracle what it ask me the company name that is my personal pc i wanna learn the forms and reports so can somebody tell me wether i am using the right product or i have to download something else.
please help me out

You have to download and install the Reports and Forms products (in that order). This is separate to Designer and is also available on the OTN website.

I would suggest using Oracle 10g XE instead of Oracle 9i DB. It is a simpler install.

Did you get the Reports and Forms to install okay?

Did you read the installation guide for Designer to see whether your need to install Designer before or after Forms and Reports?
