I had installed Oracle 9i database and while creating the database I had selected UTF8 character set instead of the default character set inorder to support Arabic. The installation was successful. I am using Developer 2000 6i clients. While I am trying to connect i.e. after accepting the username, password and the connect string, the screen disappears without showing any error. Need a solution for this at the earliest

Is this through forms, or through SQL*Plus?

I think is through form...because I encountered the same condition.

When I connect to the database through oracle form builder 6.0, error occur and form builder terminate automatically.

The error message is:
Oracle Forms Designer has encountered a problem and needs to close.
