my requirement is, i should see the current date printed for a particular field in the report,

so how can i put sysdate on the field when i enter data in the form? like, current date should be printed on the field on the form when i enter data.

version is developer 2000 / forms 5

Isn't that $$DATE$$? Put it in the initial value of your item.

Are you talking about 'reports' or are you talking about 'forms'??
