Hi All,

I got the error msg "FRM-10142 HTTP listener is not running on (Host) at port 8888"

I set my listener port number at 1521, does this mean I need to reset my listener port to 8888? Please some insights , thanks.

8888 is the Developer Server port, 1521, I think, isthe database listener.

Can you get SQL*Plus to access your database?

Before running a form, the OC4J service should be started. Use the Start Menu to navigate to: Start -> Programs -> Oracle9i Developer Suite - Home -> Forms Developer -> Start IC4J Instance

The word 'access' MAY have been hijacked by Microsoft as 'Access' but it still stands for its original dictionary meaning of
Quote:

1) A means of approaching, entering, exiting, communicating with, or making use of: a store with easy access.
2) The act of approaching.
3) The ability or right to approach, enter, exit, communicate with, or make use of: has access to the restricted area; has access to classified material.
4) Public access.
5) An increase by addition.
6) An outburst or onset: an access of rage.

What does the "application server URL" represent? Is it the IAS, or are you running the form on your PC? If the latter, try to "Reset application server URL to default".
