Dear Friends
I have installed oracle 9i clinet and forms 6i on my computer. I set up the TNSNAMES.ORA file properly. Now I am able to connect to oracle 9i server by using sql plus. But I am not able to connect to oralce 9i server by using forms 6i. Could any body help me out what needs to set up.

Search this forum for 'tnsnames' or 'ifile'.

Which SQL*Plus did you use - the 9i or 6i version?

You have two homes, they both have to have equivalent tnsnames.ora file in them.

** place suitable warning about regestry hacking here**

As DJMARTIN said its likeley that you have two homes. The Oracle homes are stored in Windows Regestry, if you cann't get the TNSNAMES files to work as expected, search your regestry and tweak the Oracle homes directly.
