Hi all,

we have inhouse application which is running in Oracle9i with forms4.5, report2.5 and graphics2.5.

Now we need to convert everything to Oracle10g DB ,forms and report.

I know that need to convert forms from 4.5 to 6i first.

Is it required a lot of human intevention or Easy to convert.
Tell me the feasibility in detail at the earlies.

Regards

Hi....

Jus open your form in oracle forms 6i.

It will ask u to convert char into varchar... some of the features are extended in forms 6i.Jus click yes to convert.

Now your forms is converted to forms 6i.

In forms 6i only .ico files are supported for push button images.
so set the path/image correctly.

U have to adjust your fields to look better...

Now your form is ready in 6i...Test it.. Now u can follow the same steps to convert it from 6i to 10g...

.ico is not supported here.So go for gif format.

Have a nice day...

Remember to do the 'pll' files first, then the menues and then the forms.

Also remember to use Ctrl-Shft-k to do any compiles now that you are using Forms 10g.
