I am having trouble getting all the data I need to display on the window I have available. I tried adding a scrollbar to the window but it didn't show up. Searching for a few days I came across this in one of the older threads:

3) Window Level Scrollbar: [Horizontal & Vertical]
This depends on the size of your main/document canvas set for that window. If the window size is small, the scrollbar is active, if not it is disabled.
If you have designed a screen for 800x600 resolution and are viewing it in 1024x786 resolution, the window size exceeds the canvas size, so the scrollbar will be disabled. The other way round, you canvas will be shown at the 3/4th of its size.

Is there a work around to this? The application I'm maintaining was built in the late 90s so 800x600 was the common resolution. Now most of our users have nice modern displays so they're using higher resolutions. I have up to 15 stacked canvases I need to display side by side in the window. They don't need to see all of it at once, but they do need to be able to scroll over to see any of the canvases and enter data there. As it is now only about 4 of them will fit and with the scroll bar disabled they can't scroll over to look at the others.

What can I do?

Thanks,
Don Wilbur

Are these really canvases or are they forms?

Try changing the browser window size by changing the width in the 'formsweb.cfg' file.

David

Megatypo: Change 'webforms' to 'formsweb'.

Thanks for your quick reply! They are indeed stacked canvases.

Where do I find the 'webforms.cfg' file?

Thanks again.

Oh, perhaps it was the FORMSWEB.CFG file after all (and not WEBFORMS.CFG). If so, you'll find it in your Developer Suite's home\forms90\server directory (its name might vary depending on your DS version, but I hope you'll manage to find it).
