Hi everybody
Decidedly I can't live without this forum! Laughing Laughing Laughing
Okay i become now serious. Cool
I want to get a function which return the name of my application server (that is the server where is hosted my forms).
In other words, i want a function on server side which is making the same things that Webutil_clientinfo.get_host_name .

If your AS runs a Unix derivative then use 'hostname' as part of a 'host' command.

How can I return the result of this command in a variable?

Depending on the version of Forms you are using you could write a 'C' program that stores it in a 'global' or pipe the information to a flat file and read it. You could also research 'ora_ffi' and see what it has to offer.
